Statement:

My work is about representations of the self: who are we and what makes us who we are? This comes from many personal experiences that led me to understand that the self is not a static thing but is defined in large part by the decisions we make.

My paintings subsequently have become autobiographical statements. Every individual experience is, like these paintings, a carrier of meaning, symbolic beyond itself.
